Biathlon combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting. The skiing part requires excellent endurance, while the shooting component demands accuracy and controlled precision. At the Winter World Masters Games in Innsbruck, this discipline will consist of three events: Sprint, Individual and Relay. Time penalties and penalty loops can be avoided by hitting the targets in the shooting sections. In the Team relay, 2-3 athletes from one or several nations can form a team and participate together.
