Short Track

Short Track

Short Track sees speed skaters compete not against the clock but instead against each other. It is a sport which requires speed, courage and clever tactics. High speeds and shoulder-to-shoulder racing mean that collisions and crashes are inevitable. The walls running around the outside of the track are therefore covered with crash mats to soften the impact. At the 2020 Winter World Masters Games in Innsbruck there will be races held over the distances 500 m, 1,000 m and 1,500 m as well as a Relay.
