Speed Skating

Two lanes on a 400-metre oval ice track and two skaters is all you need for an exciting speed skating race. At the Winter World Masters Games in Innsbruck, ladies and men will both compete over the distances 500m, 1000m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m and 10,000m. As the inside lane is shorter than the outside one, skaters change lanes after every lap, with skaters approaching from the outside having right-of-way at the crossover. Fans of the sport enjoy witnessing the incredible speeds the skaters reach.
