The 2020 Winter World Masters Games are aimed at athletes from around the world. The key factor which is most important to us is your passion for sport. It doesn’t matter if you are an amateur or a former pro athlete. You also don’t need to be a member of an official squad. However, we do insist that you are a member of an association and that you have full medical insurance. We will also ask you to take a medical test to make sure you are fit to take part in the WWMG. And, last but not least, you must of course be old enough to compete in your respective sport and discipline. Each sport has details about its minimum age requirement.

Code of behaviour
The International Masters Games Association (IMGA) is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and therefore calls on all athletes participating in the WWMG to respect the spirit of the Olympic Oath. The original Olympic Oath is:
“In the name of all participants, I promise that we will show ourselves to be loyal competitors in the Olympic Games, that we will respect the rules and take part in the knightly spirit of the sport and for the honour of our teams.”

Our WWMG Facebook groups offer a platform where you can interact with other people about the sports at the 2020 Winter World Masters Games. Chat to other athletes about new training methods and equipment or find a new partner to compete with. Click on the icon with your sport and sign up now.
