Innsbruck, located in the heart of the Austrian Alps, has a certain magic. Renowned as a tourist destination, the capital of the Tyrol holds culture, tradition, and sport in high esteem. This diverse flair attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, who walk its streets taking in the quaint old town and breathtaking mountain scenery.

Olympiaregion Seefeld

Located about 20 km in the west of Innsbruck, the community of Seefeld, together with Leutasch, Scharnitz, Mösern and Reith offer a recreational and sports programme of superlatives. 266 km of cross-country skiing trails, ski jumping hills, and a state-of-the-art biathlon facility make the Nordic Competence Center Seefeld the perfect location for the Nordic competitions of the Winter World Masters Games 2020. The city is more than ten years venue of the Nordic Ski Worldcup and will be the host of the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019.

Kitzbühel is a very attractive destination for many winter sports enthusiasts in the cold season. Every year at the latest to the Hahnenkamm Race, skiers, stars and starlets stream into the Gamsstadt. For the Masters Games, the ice rink of the Sportpark Kitzbühel will be transformed into a curling rink. This will make Kitzbühel the host of the WWMG 2020 curling tournament.
In addition, it is currently being examined whether the Schattbergschanze at the foot of the infamous Streif, is suitable as a sports venue for the ski jumping HS42 competition.
