Public transport in Innsbruck is operated by the Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe (IVB), which offers a 24-hour service throughout the city.Regional public transport is operated by the Verkehrsverbund Tyrol (VVT). Combining bus, train and tram, it provides an excellent service throughout the region.
All the IVB and VVT public transport in Innsbruck and Tyrol is wheelchair-accessible. Moreover, the journey leads through tunnels and galleries through the Karwendel mountains and offers unique views of the Inn valley. The railway line opened in 1913 is still one of the most interesting and daring in the Alps today. Over a distance of around 20 km, the train travels through 16 tunnels and over 18 high bridges and viaducts, overcoming an altitude difference of 650 meters.

Tickets for the IVB are included in all starter and companion packages, which allows stressfree traveling to all venues.
